myFirst Camera50 Crashes with a Non-English Language in V1.1.4 upon unboxing. What can I do?
If you experience a camera crash issue right after unboxing your myFirst Camera 50 and are using a language other than English, follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Solution 1: Resolving the Issue Using the Camera Settings
Double-click the power off button: A pop-up dialog box will appear with the message "Complete action using myFirst Camera / Camera."
Hold the "myFirst Camera" icon for 3 seconds: This will navigate you to the App Info page.
Scroll down and select "Storage": You will be taken to the storage settings of the camera.
Click the "Clear Data" button: This will clear any cached or corrupted data causing the crash.
Restart the Camera 50: Hold the power button and tap 'Restart' to reboot the camera.
Navigate to the language page: Choose your preferred language from the available options.
Connect your Camera 50 to WiFi: This step is required for the next phase of the process.
Check for software updates: Click the 'Check for Update' button. The camera will check for updates and show v1.1.6 as the latest version (this is required).
Install the update: Click 'Install' to install version v1.1.6.
Allow the camera to install the latest software: Your Camera 50 will now update to the latest version.
Once you complete these steps, the camera should no longer crash when using a non-English language.
Solution 2: Flashing the Firmware Using a Windows-Based Computer
If the issue persists after following the steps above, you may need to flash the camera firmware using a Windows-based computer or laptop.
