Why is my video call button is greyed out on myFirst Fone S4? Why is the Video Call Option Greyed Out on myFirst Fone S4?
The video call option will be disabled when Power Saving Mode is enabled on the myFirst Fone S4. This is a battery-saving feature that automatically limits certain functions, including video calling, to help extend battery usage.
To enable video calls again:
- On the watch, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the quick settings panel.
- Check if Power Saving Mode is turned on.
- Tap to disable Power Saving Mode.
- Return to the myFirst Circle app and try making a video call again.
Does this mean my watch has a network or hardware issue?
Not necessarily. If the video call button becomes available again after disabling Power Saving Mode, the watch is working normally. The feature is intentionally restricted while Power Saving Mode is active.
Why does the watch disable video calls in Power Saving Mode?
Video calls require more power due to camera usage, data transmission, and screen activity. Disabling video calls during Power Saving Mode helps conserve battery life.
What should I do if the video call option is still greyed out after turning off Power Saving Mode?
Please try the following:
- Restart the watch.
- Ensure the watch has a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or 4G).
- Confirm the watch is properly bound to the myFirst Circle app.
- Ensure the watch software is updated to the latest version.
Why can't my child make another video calls after making one?
There is a restricted time for a video call which is 3 minutes. You are only able to make the next video call after 4 minutes.
However, there is no restricted time from phone to watch. The reason is to avoid the watch being overheated.
